Anything that a person experiences at extreme levels and cannot control an urge for is known to borderline as a disorder and can cause certain disruptive behavior in the people. Herkov explains sexual addiction to be a “progressive intimacy disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and acts” and this can affect both psychology and socially, as a disorder can have certain negative impacts on both the person affected and their family and friends. I personally have never met any person with a sexual addiction, but I do have a few friends who have an extra positive zeal towards sexual endeavors and do not shy away from it or giving others suggestions.
